Melbourne Deluxe Chauffeurs – Terms and Conditions

We are obliged to provide you with formal terms and conditions.

Melbourne Deluxe Chauffeurs are available for hire 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Bookings for Bank & Public holidays are subject to availability and special negotiated rates will apply.

Booking Conditions

At the time of booking, clients should always ensure the following information is correct and they have allowed sufficient travel time. Melbourne Deluxe Chauffeurs is not responsible for any cost incurred by the client (missed flights, etc) associated with recognising travel arrangement which includes any circumstances not under Melbourne Deluxe Chauffeurs’ control (weather conditions, road works, traffic delays, etc).

We confirm all email bookings by return by phone / email, normally on the evening prior to travel. Please note, if you have not received a confirmation, this may mean that a booking has not been confirmed. In this instance, please contact us to finalise and confirm a travel time and date.

Extras

Any variation of direct journey not advised at time of booking, such as extra pickups, preferred routes and stops as requested by client will incur extra charges by our hourly kilometre rate, whichever the greater or as determined by the chauffeur.

Accepted Payment Methods

Melbourne Deluxe Chauffeurs accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club, EFT & cheques. A surcharge of 5% will be levied for all credit card payments on top of the booking fare.

Cancellations/ Late Charges

Melbourne Deluxe Chauffeurs do not issue refunds or exchanges on any bookings except as otherwise specified by the seller. If a refund is issued, Melbourne Deluxe Chauffeurs may retain any fees charged. These charges can be up to 100% of the booking cost, regardless of whether or not the trip is started. Special event bookings such as but not limited to, “Grand Prix, Spring Carnival, New Year’s Eve, Christmas Day, Avalon Air Show, Australian Open and AFL Grand Final, Weddings, Tours, On hold bookings” will incur in 100% cancellation charges of the total cost of the booking whether the booking is cancelled entirely or partially.

Additionally, Melbourne Deluxe Chauffeurs reserves the right to withhold the complete advance amount or full amount paid by a client for the booking on account of any misbehave or misconduct viz. physically, orally or mentally with the driver. Melbourne Deluxe Chauffeurs also reserves the right jointly and/or severally with the driver to take any action against you as available as per the law applicable at the time of the incident.

Waiting Time

Waiting time at Melbourne Airport from flight landing time is as follows:

Melbourne Airport parking fees will be charged at $8.00 (first 20 minutes) for domestic pick ups and $20.00 for international pickups (1 Hour )

On Time

Please be assured that Melbourne Deluxe Chauffeurs will take every reasonable safeguard to achieve an on time service, however in the unlikely event that our chauffeurs arrives later than the booked in pick up time due to circumstances how so ever caused, no liability will be accepted by Melbourne Deluxe Chauffeurs. A client notification will be sent in the event of unexpected delays.

Smoking

In accordance to strict Public Health and Safety guidelines, we adhere to and maintain a non-smoking policy in all of our vehicles, however additional time can be added to the journey at the time of booking to allow the chauffeur to make additional stops allocated for smoking breaks.

Insurance

We are insured for passenger travel. This insurance is for public liability and NOT independent travel insurance. This covers all the passengers in the vehicle while it is in operation.

Although every endeavour will be made to ensure the safe keeping of personal property, we cannot accept liability for the loss of individual items. Please check that you have sufficient coverage for any personal property that you bring into our vehicles.

Vehicle Presentation

Clients/passengers are responsible for any damage or soiling they cause to the interior and/or exterior of a vehicle whilst on hire to them and or during the journey. Such clients will be invoiced accordingly for any repair or valeting required reinstating a vehicle to previous working order.

Inappropriate Behaviour

Clients/passengers acting in an anti-social manner, causing unwarranted distraction to the driver or generally causing concerns regarding safety will be asked to leave the vehicle and seek alternative transport to their destination. No refund will be offered in these circumstances.

Chauffeur Attire

Melbourne Deluxe Chauffeurs will wear at a minimum a shirt collar and tie, a smart formal suit.

Amendments to Terms and Conditions

Melbourne Deluxe Chauffeurs reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions. All clients shall be informed prior to any changes being implemented or at the time of inquiry/booking.

Additional Booking Terms & Conditions

The driver has the right to terminate trip without refund in the event of blatant indiscretion of the part of the client(s). It is illegal to stand through the sunroof and is not permitted in any of our vehicles. Smoking is strictly prohibited in any of our vehicles. In the event that the client or any member of the clients’ party causes damage to the vehicle, the client will be financially responsible to repair that damage. Sanitation fee for all vehicles is $350.00. Melbourne Deluxe Chauffeurs are not responsible for any delays or termination of journey caused by hazardous road conditions (such as accidents, traffic, etc.). Melbourne Deluxe Chauffeurs are not responsible for any articles left in the vehicles. Vehicles cannot be loaded beyond seating capacity. Luggage, prams and other accessories are restricted to boot capacity only – those which do not fit in the boot of a sedan will not be placed within the vehicle under any circumstance. In this instance the client is liable to organize alternative means/transport to transfer their luggage. Consumption of water within all of our vehicles is permitted. Melbourne Deluxe Chauffeurs require all other beverages and food to be approved prior to the booking, under which circumstances the client assumes full financial responsibility for any damage to the vehicle.
